'Delivering major improvements in dementia care and research by 2015: A report on progress'

On Thursday 8th November 2012, the six Co-chairs of the three Champion Groups leading the Prime Minister's challenge on dementia have published their first report of progress since the launch of the Challenge in March 2012. The report sets out the key achievements and planned next steps across the three strands of the Prime Minister's challenge.

Jeremy Porteus, Director of the Housing Learning and Improvement Network, has been an integral member of the Health and Social Care Champion Group representing the 'housing voice' and linking in with organisations such as the National Housing Federation and the Housing and Dementia Research Consortium.

Attending the launch at No 10 Downing Street, Jeremy said: "Housing needs to up its game and ensure that homes and communities are dementia-friendly. We are fully behind the challenge to transform the housing choices for people living with dementia."

With several references to housing, the report and accompanying annex summarises progress against the key commitments and actions in the PM Challenge document. Both documents are now available below.
