Extra Care - Charging the asset to back a mortgage

Potential Registered provider partners are telling me that they have been unable to persuade their funders to allow Extra Care housing to be charged as an asset to back their loans. As a result the number of possible provider partners is falling. Can anyone help?. Are you aware of providers who have found a way of charging extra care housing?
