Right to Buy in local authority extra care

Solihull Council is developing a CASSH2 funded elderly extra care scheme. The age limit is 55+. Our social care mix will be shared low-medium-high. The low category is 0-10 hours of care a week.

Looking at the nature of the scheme and RTB exemptions, our concern is whether some people that we may want to allocate to in the low category could be eligible for RTB. I would welcome any comments from others who have looked at this.
