Chris and Sally's house is a model of good practice which optimises spatial layouts, wayfinding and adaptations, embraces features of existing Lifetime Homes.
The exemplar home will promote ideas, further knowledge and will form the centre piece for future research around the home and health including supportive environments. Before and after scenarios will be created virtually.
The model hopes to provide immersive experiences which replicate in a small way the experience of living with dementia and other age related conditions in an adapted home environment.
The principals are based on Dementia Innovate research which used a 'living laboratory' of people with dementia, they are set out in Design for Dementia.
