Commissioning Specialised Supported Housing (SSH): private finance and lease-based models - Workshop, London

Event date

Together we aim to answer the following questions

  1. What needs to happen to ensure that current models work well for people?
  2. What support does the sector need to ensure a sustainable model?
  3. What advice do NHS and Local Authority commissioners need about their approach in this area?

This follows an earlier event in July 2019 which brought together a small number of strategic national / regional leads across housing, the NHS and social care, alongside two people with lived experience. This event explored the private finance lease-based model of funding SSH and identifyed a range of key issues; some of which will be explored further in this second event, and others of which will be taken forward in other ways.

The purpose of this event is to inform the LGA, NHSE/I and ADASS in their development of advice and information availble to support commissioners to understand and navigate this area of policy and practice.
