General Information
Digital technologies are having a growing impact on the global health and care landscape. As demographic and budgetary pressures continue to rise and consumers are becoming ever more willing to adopt new technologies to help them manage their own wellbeing, we are seeing the start of, what we believe will be, a seismic shift in the way healthcare services are delivered.
With BT, our national telecoms infrastructure provider announcing that by 2025 the move from analogue to IP Voice telephone services will be complete, the UK’s switch to digital is inevitable and imminent.
This series of events has been designed to help health, housing and social care providers to navigate the digital evolution, and maximise the potential of Connected Healthcare solutions to underpin new models of care which are integrated, effective and dramatically improve people’s quality of life.

Going Digital
This “Going Digital” web resource (opens new window) was brought to you via the ADASS Housing Policy Network, the LGA and the Housing LIN, to provide essential information for professionals in social care, health and housing. It contains answers to key questions around digital technology – why is digital important, how does it support policy and commissioning objectives, what is the art of the possible/benefits of going digital and how do you make sure you’re making the right decisions.
We are grateful to the Tunstall Healthcare for their contribution to compiling this resource
