More information
The Ageing Hub is a partnership of organisations across the public, voluntary and community and private sector, working to make Greater Manchester a great place to grow older, led by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. The Ageing Hub responds to the opportunities and challenges of an ageing population in our city region, focusing on reducing inequalities and ageing well.
The Housing, Planning and Ageing group, convened by the GM Ageing Hub, leads the work to deliver on the ambition to “increase the supply of age-friendly homes” within Greater Manchester.
This event is being hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University. Manchester School of Architecture, a joint school led by Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Manchester, is working with partners across Greater Manchester and nationally on a series pioneering design-research programmes exploring ageing, housing and neighbourhoods, which have culminated in the formation of the ‘Design for Life Agency’, a collaborative research consultancy aiming to support innovation in ageing and urban development.
