Sitra (now part of Homeless Link) is running a series of training courses aimed at a range of staff roles in the housing sector. Including Housing Officers, Sheltered Scheme staff, maintenance, asset management, development and estate staff
It will cover subjects such as.
- 'understanding dementia';
- 'dementia friendly design' - things we can do to help keep people living well in their homes for longer;
- 'dementia and the law' - capacity, tenancy agreements, safeguarding
- 'Communication' - how best to communicate with people with dementia
