'Feeling at home' - A seminar on dementia and housing - London (Supported by the Housing LIN)
Event date
Description
Date: 21 February 2017
Location: Royal British Legion, 199 Borough High Street, London
Foundations and Sitra are pleased to invite you to a day which will give housing practitioners in Home Improvement Agencies, local authorities and housing associations an opportunity to explore some of the key issues related to dementia and housing, and to network with other professionals. The day will reflect the experiences of people living with dementia and what home means to them. The morning session will outline the policy landscape, including some of the current funding challenges in an environment where resources are continually under pressure. There will be an opportunity to learn from good practice case studies from across the housing sector. We are also delighted to announce that the Dementia and Housing Charter will be launched at the event, and delegates will have the opportunity to explore the practical commitments and changes we can all make to provide a safe, comfortable and supportive home environment for all.
