HAPPI Hour - Dementia Friendly Technology - Still Rising to the Dementia Challenge
The Dementia and Housing Working Group (DHWG) is excited to launch the third in our quarterly 2024 webinar series focused on housing and dementia.
Overview
This webinar explores the ways technology can support people living with dementia, along with their families and carers, by addressing both challenges and practical solutions. Our goal is to inspire a positive conversation around the potential of technology to empower and uplift, encouraging confidence and curiosity rather than fear. We’ll also thoughtfully consider ethical considerations, necessary safeguards, and possible limitations to ensure a balanced and supportive approach.
Our aim is to continue to grow sector understanding on and use of how smart housing, AI and technology can enable people with dementia live well at home.
We want to ensure all staff in housing related roles are supported to understand the needs of people living with dementia and how technology can help.
Target audience
This webinar is aimed at anyone involved in housing and dementia, particularly housing providers, designers, architects, local authorities and people living with dementia.
