Recent Government thinking and policy has recognised that the quality of a person's housing is one of the critical determinants of their health and that collaborative working between health and housing can positively impact on a person's ability to live independently and their long term wellbeing.

Whilst there are some examples of good practice there is still considerable scope for more mutually beneficial collaborative working.

This latest MIAA conference will provide insightful presentations and discussions from experts operating within the health and housing arena.

  • Health & Housing - Just what the doctor ordered - an outline of the key relationship between health and housing and the role of the new NHS Alliance in supporting and prompting innovation in this area - Merron Simpson, Chief Executive, New NHS Alliance Insights and Innovations
  • For a number of years now, the National Housing Federation has been working to bridge the gap between the housing and health sectors.
