Recover, Reset and Regenerate
Event date
Post Event Summary
The COVID-19 crisis provides an opportunity to embed a step change to services that Regenerate and produce better outcomes. In other words, it offers an opportunity for a reset across the whole system. Housing is central to that reset as staying home protected the NHS and saved lives.
On Wednesday 24 June 2020, over 900 people joined us and our partners Foundations and ADASS for this virtual conference. They were treated to a selection of excellent keynote speakers and practice leaders from specialist housing to homelessness and from technology to aids and adaptations in the home. They included Luke MP, Minister for Rough Sleeping and Housing, and James Bullion, the new ADASS President and Norfolk County Council’s Executive Director of Adult Social Services (read his follow up Housing LIN guest blog here).
Other key messages, articulated by leading figures from across the Care, Housing and Health Sector and backed by the lived experience of providers and people during the pandemic, have now been captured in this post-conference briefing. It pulls together the contributions of the speakers, participants and polls during the day to reflect and amplify some simple but challenging messages from across the Care, Housing and Health sectors around investing in move-on, affordable and accessible housing.
