This Housing LIN guest blog, written by Frances Wright, resident of Marmalade Lane - an intentional community in Cambridge, details her experiences of living in a community designed for community interaction during the pandemic.
In the blog, Frances discusses the adaptations made to the living arrangements and the support systems that residents set up to help each other to organise food supply and household tasks. Alongside this, the blog mentions possible activities that residents had begun to take part in to fill their time, given that social distancing rules had prevented them from meeting friends and family in person.
Frances will be one of our speakers at this year Housing LIN Summit – Reaching for the Top w/c 7 December 2020. She will present in the session ‘CollaborAGE: community-led housing and lifelong neighbourhoods’ on 8 December from 4pm.
