A full house: Four cohorts of the Housing LIN Future Leaders programme meet at Appleby Blue
25 past and present members from all four cohorts of the Housing LIN’s Future Leaders came together yesterday to celebrate their participation in our unique programme at an event hosted at this year’s HAPPI award-winning Appleby Blue in Bermondsey.
Established before Covid-19 took hold, the Housing LIN Future Leaders programme has grown over the last 5 years to become a much-valued sector development programme for early career professionals working across housing, health and social care in the UK. Since 2019, we have held 4 consecutive programmes, including the current year group, and their experiences and learning have been captured in a series of guest blogs by individual participants and presentations at our virtual annual conferences, A Festival of Ideas.
We are also grateful to Laura Wood, founder and director of Invisible Creations, and one of Inside Housing's top 40 leaders under 40, for generously sharing her time with us. She joine us virtually to share her journey, offering tips on the leadership qualities that have shaped her rise and helped create a successful enterprise. And following a festive lunch put on by Man with a Pan Community Cooking Club this was followed by an insightful tour of United St Saviour’s Appleby Blue almshouse with CEO, Martyn Craddock and Head of Research and Influence, Alison Benzimra.
With thanks to residents and United St Saviours’ staff who made us feel at home.
And lastly, if you are interested in sponsoring next year’s Future Leaders Programme and being exclusively associated with this sector-leading programme, find out more by emailing us at info@housinglin.org.uk.
