The Dunhill Medical Trust funded Amar Bari, Amar Jibon research partnership is delighted to announce that it has appointed Jenny Kartupelis as its Professional Engagement and Impact Lead.

Jenny is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Open University (OU) and brings a wealth of expertise in Public Relations and partnership building across sectors, experience of cooperating with communities on inter-faith work including South-Asian, working with policy makers and undertaking research with older people particularly around issues of social care.

She will work with research partners the OU, Bangla Housing Association and the Housing LIN, to support the project’s Professional Advisory Group (PAG).

She will also engage with the PAG to ensure that the ground-breaking research in East London can inform local housing plans and strategies, and potentially influence policies, in order to achieve a lasting impact for the Bangladeshi ‘probin’ community.
