Chair of the Older People's Housing Task Force revealed

Professor Julienne Meyer CBE PhD

Following the announcement of an Older People's Housing Task Force in the government's Adult Social Care statement, Julianne Meyer CBE - Professor Emerita of Nursing: Care for Older People at City, University of London - has been appointed as its independent chair.

Sponsored by DHSC and DLUHC, the Task Force will work across housing, heath, and care sectors to drive an increase in the volume and range of housing options and make recommendations to the Government.

In welcoming the appointment, the Housing LIN's CEO, Jeremy Porteus said:

"I worked closely with Julienne and the My Home Life programme when I was at the Department of Health, and most recently when I sat on the SCIE Housing with Care Commission she co-chaired. With her extensive knowledge and experience in care and support for older people, she will bring considerable academic rigour and professional understanding in leading the vitally important work of the Task Force."
