DLUHC Select Committee publishes hard-hitting report on housing and disabled people

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Select Committee has published its Inquiry report, ‘Disabled people in the housing sector’. It found that despite the cross-government effort to “ensure disability inclusion is a priority”, there is little evidence that the government is treating disabled people’s needs as a priority in housing policy.
Furthermore, it noted that none of the actions in the government’s recent Disability Action Plan address housing for disabled people.
