Dunhill Medical Trust awards for building and developing suitable living environments and communities for an ageing population
The Dunhill Medical Trust (DMT) have announced the projects that have each received a share of funding aimed to attract innovative proposals that supported collaborative projects between researchers and community partners.
Under the theme 'Building and developing suitable living environments and communities for an ageing population', the 8 successful projects are:
- Amar bari, amar jibon’ (My home, my life): developing living environments for Bangladeshi elders (opens new window)
- Almshouse Resilient Communities (ARC) for the Future
- Co-creating age-friendly social housing: A collaborative approach to improving the experience of ageing in place
- Developing age-friendly communities in an emergent post pandemic world
- Enhancing Future Community Connectivity for Ageing Well in Place: Co-designing technology and environments
- Impact of a novel, inclusive, community-based food model on health, wellbeing and social connectedness of older people
- The future of older people's housing and living arrangements: matching emerging technologies with needs for independent living and care support in a sustainable and systematic 'living lab' approach
- Using body worn sensors to inform data-driven home modifications with the aim of reducing falls risk in older adults
