First APPG Inquiry session takes place in Westminster

APPG Meeting on Intergen

Chaired by Lord Best, the opening session of the new All-Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People Inquiry on Creating Intergenerational Communities took place on Tuesday, 25 March in Westminster.

The session heard from architects, social housing and private operators and developers on different examples of designing, developing and managing both new and retrofitted intergenerational housing and communities, exploring the challenges of existing funding and investment mechanisms and benefits to the housing market and deliberating how these insights might shape future housing policy and practice.

Sponsored by Riverside and Places for People, the Housing LIN is proud to be the Secretariat to this year-long Inquiry and to host the Inquiry’s webpages.
