Getting integrated - South West Leadership Set brings together diverse sector leaders

Sponsored by St. Monica Trust, the Housing LIN’s South West Leadership Set convened virtually for its second meeting yesterday morning.

The meeting brought together senior leaders from the commercial, social housing, and charitable sectors, representing various fields such as housing, health, social care, law, real estate, and construction in the region.

We were joined by Tom Surrey, Director of Adult Social Care Workforce & Policy at the Department of Health and Social Care, as our guest speaker who provided insights into the current national policy landscape, emphasizing the opportunities and challenges inherent in connecting the dots between health and care systems. This discussion served as a catalyst for exploring practical examples, including home care and support, assistive technologies, and adaptations, as well as addressing rural and urban challenges in the region.

We also delved into a broader strategic "placeshaping" approach. We are excited about building upon these insights as we shape the South West Leadership Set's 2024 programme.
