In anticipation of Occupational Therapy (OT) Week 2024, we are excited to invite you to next week's HAPPI Hour, where we’ll explore OT assessments and trusted methods for evaluating accessible and adaptable homes.

This session will cover a range of topics, including the use of Disabled Facilities Grants, assessments for community equipment, and aids and adaptations.

🌐Online - Zoom
📅Tuesday 29 October 2024
🕓4pm - 5pm

Join us for a webinar exploring the impact of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists' Adaptations without Delay report and the importance of the Trusted Assessor process in adaptation decisions. We'll highlight how redefined roles in equipment and adaptation assessments, inspired by the 2019 RCOT report, improve outcomes for individuals, environments, and services.

In partnership with TACT (Trusted Assessing & Care Training), this session will also showcase examples from teams that have embraced these changes, helping housing providers better meet tenants' needs while allowing OT teams to focus on complex cases.

Chaired by Jeremy Porteus, CEO of Housing LIN, we'll be joined by:

  • Janet Seward, Partnerships Manager and Clare Barber, Director at Trusted Assessing and Care Training (TACT) - @Janet Seward

  • Sheena Starrett, Age Friendly Coordinator (Southwark) at Southern Housing - @SouthernHsg_UK

  • Lauren Walker, Professional Advisor, Royal College of Occupational Therapists Housing Lead - @Lauren Walker
