HLINks Weekly: 3 June 2024

Happy Monday!

Last Friday, the Housing LIN's consultancy team visited various extra care housing (opens new window) and integrated retirement communities schemes in Bristol as an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the design, operation and resident experience of these innovative living environments.

A big thank you to Brunelcare for the tour of Waverley Gardens (opens new window), featuring 128 self-contained apartments, including 20 exclusively available for shared ownership for the over 55s.

We were also delighted to visit Housing 21's Hillside Court (opens new window), with its charming gardens offering beautiful views for residents.

Lastly, we stopped by Stoke Gillford Village (opens new window), The ExtraCare Charitable Trust's retirement village, showcasing its Library, IT Suite, and Village Hall, all open to the public.

These visits highlighted the living options and amenities available to our ageing population, emphasising quality, comfort and inclusivity.
