Happy International Women's Days 2024!
International Women's Day holds particular significance for women in the housing sector as it provides a platform to recognise and celebrate the achievements, contributions and challenges faced by women in this field.
We think it's important to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of the women in the Housing LIN team in helping to shaping housing policies, improving living conditions, and empowering communities within our ageing population.
So, here's what 3 of our incredible staff memebers have been up to lately!
๐ Hannah Wix joins the housing sector as our new Research Officer! Hannah's job entails both desk based and field research to produce evidence-based reports and recommendations to our clients working in housing for older people and those with support and care needs.
You can find out more in Hannah's new blog, as she tells us about her interest in housing for an ageing population.
๐ Lois Beech, our Consultancy and Partnerships Manager, recently presented the preliminary findings and recommendations from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People looking at the Regeneration of Outdated “Sheltered Housing" in the House of Lords.

๐ Sally Taylor-Ridgway, our Communications and Membership Officer just delivered this year's Housing LIN Summit - A Festival of Ideas, welcoming 600+ attendees and 58 key and inspiring speakers from across the housing, health and social care sectors! The event heard from a range of perspectives from MP's and Lord's to researchers and residents.
