Healthy Homes Pledge launched to help ensure that all new homes protect people from harm and promote health
The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) have today launched The Healthy Homes Pledge as part of the Campaign for Healthy Homes (opens new window), aiming to transform the way that the built environment is regulated to ensure that all new homes promote the health and wellbeing of their residents, and the Housing LIN are proud to add our support.
The campaign asks individuals and organisations in the built environment sector to sign the Pledge for Healthy Homes. The Pledge also calls on all political parties to establish a statutory duty to ensure all new homes protect people from harm and positively promote our health and wellbeing.
Jeremy Porteus, CEO of Housing LIN, said:
"We are proud to pledge our support to the Healthy Homes Pledge. To aid policy formation, we are committed to evidencing the individual and community benefits of healthy homes and neighbourhoods for healthier lives. In addition, we host online events and share the latest research and examples of integrated health and housing practices to support professional development and sector learning."
