Keynote Speakers Revealed for Housing LIN's London Conference

Housing LIN is back and gearing up for next Wednesday’s highly anticipated Annual Conference in London, marking our second in-person conference of the year! The response has been phenomenal – we’re oversubscribed, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our members.

We’re delighted to announce that our first keynote speaker, Kate Markey, CEO of Nationwide Foundation, will be presenting on “Homes for All: A Nationwide Call for Affordable Housing Choices for All.” With a strong background in affordable housing policy and strategic philanthropy, Kate Markey brings a wealth of expertise to the conversation. Her presentation will explore the critical need for inclusive, affordable housing solutions that meet the diverse needs of communities across the UK.

We are also pleased to be joined by our second keynote speaker, Shahi Islam, Director of Affordable Homes at Homes England, who will be presenting on “Building Capital: Investing in Affordable Mainstream and Specialist Housing and Communities for an Ageing Population.” With a strong background in housing finance and development, Shahi Islam offers extensive expertise to the discussion. His presentation will explore innovative approaches to funding and developing affordable housing, particularly for the growing needs of an ageing population, and the importance of building sustainable communities for the future.

We will also be joined by Lord Richard Best, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People, who will say a few words about the new APPG Inquiry on Creating Intergenerational Communities.

With an exciting agenda featuring keynote speakers, sector showcase leads, and the generous support of our sponsors, the event promises to be an invaluable opportunity for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration.
