In September 2021, we announced an exciting new partnership with the housing association, GreenSquareAccord (opens new window) who signed up to support the Housing LIN’s peer-to-peer discussion forum; a platform for Housing LIN members to share information, raise issues and ask questions that either enhance their sector learning and/or aid their professional and/or practice development.

We are now delighted to announce that GreenSquareAccord have also become the exclusive sponsor of the Housing LIN’s Care and Support webpages. With the ambition for expanding and enhancing locally focused services to customers including their care and support services, GreenSquareAccord facilitate information shared on these webpages across 8 key areas for adult social care commissioners, housing and care providers, primary care services and NHS hospital trusts on shaping, commissioning, funding, and delivering a range of planned and self-care and support solutions for people living in their own homes.

Ruth Cooke, Chief Executive Officer at GreenSquareAccord, said:

“I am very pleased that GreenSquareAccord has joined the Housing LIN. As a not-for-profit provider with over 25 years’ experience in the care industry, we look forward to working with other housing and care organisations, pooling knowledge and expertise. Sharing best practice, discussion and learning with other providers will help to ensure we continue to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

“Everything we do at GreenSquareAccord is about people – whether that’s providing a good quality, safe home, or helping someone to live an independent life. It feels a natural fit to partner with the Housing LIN and its ambitions to provide accessible information to progress the care and retirement housing sector for the people who need our services most.”

The Housing LIN’s CEO, Jeremy Porteus, commented:

“I am delighted that GreenSquareAccord have come on board as a sponsor of the Housing LIN, and further extended this support to help curate the Housing LIN’s Care and Support webpages. We have worked closely on a variety of communications’ activities in recent years to improve the quality of housing and related care and support services for people of all ages. We look forward to building on this and further sharing the thought-leadership, learning and improvement from their exemplary practice."

With an increasing emphasis on innovative new models of person-centred care and support at home as set out in the recent Adult Social Care Reform White Paper, ‘Putting People at the Heart of Care’, these pages provide useful tools, resources and examples of innovative approaches to enabling older people and people with disabilities to live well and independently in their own homes.

Our sponsorship facilitates the Housing LIN’s capacity to continue to provide useful tools, resources and examples of innovative approaches to enabling older people and people with disabilities to live well and independently in their own homes.
