As active-members of the Housing LIN, we are delighted to announce that Stonewater - a leading social housing provider, with a mission to deliver good quality, affordable homes to people who need them most - has officially come on board as corporate sponsors!

With a vision ‘For everyone to have the opportunity to have a place that they can call home’, Stonewater manages around 34,500 homes in England for over 76,000 customers.

This includes affordable properties for general rent, shared ownership and sale, alongside specialist accommodation such as retirement and supported living schemes for older and vulnerable people, domestic abuse refuges, a dedicated LGBTQ+ Safe Space, and young people’s foyers.

Emma Tobin, Head of Wellbeing at Stonewater, said:

“We have a well-established relationship with Housing LIN, which has, most recently, seen our two organisations support the INVITE project. This investigated how technology could support the quality of life for older people — with some fascinating results.

By officially joining the Housing LIN network as a corporate sponsor, it means we will be able to continue our work in sharing insight and research, as well as ensuring the sector as a whole can work together collaboratively for the benefit of customers.”

The Housing LIN’s CEO, Jeremy Porteus, commented:

“I was privileged to sit on the project board of this study which aimed to explore how assistive and everyday technologies could be used to enhance support for residents of retirement living schemes, a collaboration between the University of Stirling and Stonewater, funded by the Longleigh Foundation.

I am therefore thrilled that Stonewater has joined the family of Housing LIN sponsors! They have previously participated in many HAPPI Hour webinars, sharing thought leadership, learning, and improvement informed by their management expertise in supported living schemes for older and vulnerable people. We very much look forward to developing this partnership further.”

Sponsoring the Housing LIN supports it to provide useful tools, resources and examples of innovative approaches to enabling older people and people with disabilities to live well and independently in their own homes. If you are interested in sponsoring the Housing LIN, please find out more here.
