New Housing LIN guest blog welcomes planning reform support

In this new Housing LIN guest blog, Mark Slater, Design Director at WWA Studios, reflects on the British Property Federation getting behind the older persons' sector and pushing for planning reform with a series of recommendations.

Mark welcomes two recommendations: the creation of a new use class called CR2, and the allocation of a proportion of new housing to older people's housing in all local plans. He also argues that planning reform needs to be accompanied by increased resource allocation within Local Authorities to process and determine applications.
