New Inspirational Achievement - Innovation in Out of Hospital and Long-Term Dementia Care

We are delighted to share our newest Inspirational Achievement by Arcadis IBI Group showcasing The Heathlands Integrated Health and Care Home, their innovative solution to offering both long-term dementia care and an intermediate care unit designed to help reduce prolonged hospital stays.

The home is the result of a five-year £9.2m joint commissioning strategy between Bracknell Forest Council, NHS Frimley, and Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Find out how Arcadis IBI Group placed sustainability at the heart of the design process, with the building achieving a BREEAM rating of Very Good, and how the Heathlands’ design process involved a high amount of end user engagement, which has resulted in a building the end users feel proud of and have ownership over.

In association with Arcadis IBI Group, next week's HAPPI Hour webinar - Neurodiversity, Design and Silver Surfers - will help to explore key questions, including:

  • What are the neuro challenges & experiences of users? Living in a society designed for non-autistic people contributes to, and exacerbates, many of the daily living challenges that autistic people experience.

  • How we design spaces to be more inclusive? And how can spaces be choreographed to better promote health, wellbeing and wellness?
