New blog reflects on the theory and practice of inclusive design on Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is an opportunity to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.

Led by the Housing LIN, TEC Services Association (TSA) and funded by The Dunhill Medical Trust, the Technology for our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation (TAPPI) project aims to improve the way technology is used in housing and care for older people and we're pleased with the progress made towards developing a benchmark for what ‘good’ looks like in technology for housing and care.

But what about accessible environments in general?

In this Housing LIN blog, Joan Rutherford, Chair of National Network of Older People’s Housing Champions, reflects on the theory of inclusive design and explores what this looks like in practice while not all urban designers are trained in inclusive design principles.
