The APPG on Dementia launches a new inquiry into what people affected by dementia want and need from a social care workforce
The APPG on Dementia, in partnership with Alzheimer's Society, is launching an inquiry into what people affected by dementia want and need from a social care workforce to enable them to live well and on their terms.
The Group is particularly interested in exploring:
- what the more specialist needs of people with dementia are who draw on care
- what the barriers are to them accessing this care
- to what extent people living with dementia can shape the care they receive
- how those with dementia from underrepresented groups are supported in care
- how technology and research can be used to support care staff in delivering more personalised care
- and how the Government's proposals on reforms to the social care workforce should support people with dementia.
The APPG would also like to invite people to contribute to the inquiry through written evidence.
