Spending Review and Specialist Housing
Yesterday, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced the Spending Review for the coming year. With much of the emphasis on post-Covid measures that will support the economy and stimulate growth, we are pleased for the recognition of specialist housing announced in the accompanying documents. Under section 8.3 on Disability, there is an allocation next year of £71m for the Department of Health's and Social Care's Care and Support Specialised Housing (CaSSH) Fund. Furthermore, in 2020/21, the Disabled Facilities Grants allocation for councils will rise to £573million from £505million.
