Supporting people living with dementia in extra care housing: DemECH Project findings explored by Katey Twyford

We're delighted to share this Housing LIN guest blog by Katey Twyford, the Housing LIN’s former dementia lead, who reflects on the Dementia in Extra Care Housing research findings published as part of The Supporting People Living with Dementia in Extra Care Housing (DemECH) project.

The study findings were launched at reception at the House of Lords on Tuesday, 7 March 2023, hosted by Lord Best - Chair of the APPG Inquiry into Housing for people with dementia: Are we ready? - and saw the release of 3 Key Insight Booklets to guide future Extra Care Housing development alongside video and audio diaries sharing direct experience of people living with dementia and their experience of Extra Care Housing.
