Sustaining intergenerational connections at a time of crisis

With Covid-19 in mind, this report by In Common for Clarion tells stories of resilience, adaptability and hope from people from all ages at a time when we need them most. It captures examples of some of the new practical connections that have been emerging with the aim of exploring how we can maintain and enhance them as we journey through the pandemic and beyond.

The report reveals that the Covid-19 crisis has been a catalyst for reimagining how we facilitate intergenerational connectedness in a digital age, ultimately leading to the launch of In Common’s Buddies programme - facilitating connections between isolated family members and neighbours over Zoom or by phone. Between April and June 2020, it has seen relationships blossom and enabled meaningful exchanges during these tough times.
