Welcome to TAPPI Cast, our weekly update on the 'Technology for our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation' (TAPPI) project which aims to improve the way technology is used in housing and care for older people. Includes updates from our 6 Testbeds, Resources and Events of interest.

Updates from our Testbeds:

"Our world diminishes as we get older." Rosemary

Platform Housing welcomed Chris, a videographer working with HousingLIN, to Harling Court to document Platform's contribution to a film that aims to encourage older people to embrace technology. Resident Champion Rosemary shared her feelings and experiences of the TAPPI project and tech as a whole. Rosemary spoke at length about how the choice of an individual is vital when recommending potential technology-enabled solutions to their everyday problems. 

 

 

 

Residents at Dairy View, an extra care living scheme managed by Housing 21 are taking part in TAPPI. The TEC system allows them to see who is at their door and grant guests entry into their rooms without having to go to the door.
