The Planning Advisory Service (PAS) wants to gather information on how local authority planners currently consider older person housing and which Use Classes are appropriate for differing typologies of older persons housing which come forward.
They want to focus on identifying examples of best practice in how local authorities come to a view on the Use Classes Order in relation to the different typologies of housing for older persons. If you frequently deal with planning applications for older persons housing or have best practice to share, then please come along.
They want to know:
- The different approaches taken by local authorities in determining Use Classes in relation to different typologies of housing for older persons.
- The relevance of legislation/policies and guidance/ case law
- Understanding material considerations with determining Use Classes and typologies of older persons' homes applications
- Current best practice being generated in local authorities
