The ABAJ team meet with Deputy Mayor of London for Housing, Tom Copley

The Amar Bari, Amar Jibon project team had the pleasure of presenting the emerging findings from the Dunhill Medical Trust funding project to Tom Copley, Deputy Mayor of London for Housing and Residential Development, at the BME London Landlords (BMELL) quarterly meeting.

This prompted useful discussion with the Deputy Mayor, BMELL members and the project team on how London plans for an ageing population, promote a greater range of culturally appropriate housing options, and encourage landlords to draw on the learning from community-led projects such as with the Bangladeshi ‘probin’ community in their EDI action plans.
