The Housing LIN's Jeremy Porteus wish No4 for 2023 - The adoption of the TAPPI principles by the industry
Following the publication of the TAPPI (Technology for our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation) Inquiry report last year and the Panel's identification of 10 overarching person-centered principles that should future deployment of technology-enabled care and housing, Phase Two of this exciting programme has now commenced to further test these principles.
In partnership with the TEC Services Association (TSA), and funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust, 6 sites were selected in England, Scotland and Wales to further test how the principles can be applied in practice in a variety of housing and care settings.
Drawing on the lessons learned from the developments of the age-friendly HAPPI design principles over 10 years ago, my fourth wish for 2023 is to see the TAPPI principles co-designed in housing, health and social care policy and coproduction firmly embedded in operational delivery.
