The NIHR School for Social Care Research announces 12 new awards
The School of Social Care Research, supported by the National Institute for Health Research, have funded £1.7 million of new research across a range of adult and social care practice themes. The announcement came soon after the recent APPG Inquiry report on housing for people living with dementia which recommended the need for more research in this area.
“Together these twelve newly commissioned studies address a wide range of very relevant social care issues, employ various research designs, involve people with experience of using services, carers and professionals in many ways – and will in time deliver important insights. It is great to see them about to start!” Professor Martin Knapp, NIHR SSCR Director.
To help deliver these important insights, The Housing LIN is proud to be a partner on the ‘Supporting people living with dementia in extra care housing’ project with the University of Worcester.
