A report by the House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee has called for increased availability of community-based alternatives to inpatient settings for people with a learning disability and autistic people.

While not housing specific, the report, ‘Inequalities in healthcare and employment for people with a learning disability and autistic people’, notes that targets to reduce the number of autistic people detained in mental health hospitals have been missed and calls for action by government to address this situation.
