This week's HLINks: 12 - 16 June 2023
Welcome to #JeremyTalks (opens new window),
This week, we were delighted to share the updated Housing LIN Factsheet (No. 35), by Angeli Ganoo-Fletcher, Director, and Helene Saulue, Associate at PRP. It highlights the vital role of well-designed gardens in enhancing residents' quality of life, promoting physical and mental well-being, and mitigating cognitive decline.
We also drew attention to TSA's TEC Theatre, taking place at this month's Housing 2023 in Manchester, where we'll be supporting the delivery of a number of practical sessions that will give you the insight and know-how into how Technology Enabled Care within housing plays a vital role in empowering individuals to ensure they have the correct support in place to live the life they want.
Other items that took my interest:
- Collaborative Housing and Innovative Care (CHIC) Practices: An international exchange, Barcelona: YouTube Videos
- Housing with Care awards: Neil McCarthy, Octavia Care, wins the Workforce Development Award (opens new window)
- DHSC: Safe care at home review (opens new window)
- Government response to the HSCC report and the Hewitt Review (opens new window) on integrated care systems
- TAPPI cast - 16 June
- Government breaks pledge to consult on improvements to housing adaptations (opens new window)
- Age of Majority report: Closing the gap between consumer expectations and community offerings in senior living (opens new window)
And looking further ahead, I'm delighted to have been invited to present at Homes England’s forthcoming Summer Learning Programme, Why planning for later life is important (opens new window), on 19 July.
Finally, we're always eager to hear your stories and receive your case studies and thought leadership on good practices. If you would like to contribute, email us at: comms@housinglin.org.uk.
