This week's HLINks: 17 - 21 July 2023
Welcome to #JeremyTalks (opens new window),
This week we published a new Housing LIN guest blog by Liz Parsons, Head of Public Health – Built Environment and Social Housing across Milton Keynes City, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough councils. Ahead of next week's HAPPI Hour on Housing and Integrated Care, she shares insight on an exciting new and innovative health and housing partnership.
I was also delighted to take the opportunity to provide an update on the Older People's Housing Task Force and the new Inquiry into Rejuvenating Outdated Retirement Housing during this week's APPG meeting on Housing and Care for Older People.
This followed my presentation at Homes England's planning for later life event with their local government capacity centre.
What else caught my interest:
- Levelling Up, Housing and Communities House of Committee report calls for planning reform
- RIBA's new Overlay report, Plan of Work, on inclusive design
- Healthy Homes: Shaping the future (opens new window)
- The King's Fund: Driving better health outcomes through integrated care systems
- Hallmark Foundation: Ageing well improving care Impact 2022-23 (opens new window)
- Sage Journals: Home environment design theories and models related to the well-being of people with intellectual disabilities
- NHS Assembly report: The NHS in England at 75 (NHS@75) (opens new window)
- TAPPI Cast 21 July
Finally, we're always eager to hear your stories and receive your case studies and thought leadership on good practices. If you would like to contribute, email us at: comms@housinglin.org.uk
