This week's HLINks: 8 - 12 May 2023

Jeremy Porteus

This week, we published two new guest blogs. The first is written by Steve Sadler, Head of Technology Strategy at the TSA, where he discusses some of the major topics that emerged from the TAPPI workshops. The second blog is by Gavin Bashar, UK Managing Director at Tunstall Healthcare, and highlights the significance of educating the next generation of housing professionals about the advantages of technology.

We were also delighted to host a HAPPI Hour in association with Learning Disability England and the University of York for the official launch of research on supporting people with learning disabilities to rent their own homes. A big thank you to all our speakers for their insightful contributions. Recording available soon.

Other items that caught my interest this week include:

And, if you haven't already, secure your spot at next week's HAPPI Hour in association with Winckworth Sherwood on regenerating new homes and place-shaping and the procurement and development process. We are so pleased to be joined by session chair, Charlotte Cook, Notting Hill Genesis' Robert East, Central Bedfordshire Council's Tobin Stephenson, bpha's Matthew Berry, and Winckworth Sherwood's David Emery.

Finally, we're always eager to hear your stories and receive your case studies and thought leadership on good practices. If you would like to contribute, email us at: comms@housinglin.org.uk.
