Over 15 years since the Labour government's national strategy, Delivering Lifetime Homes, Lifetime Neighbourhoods, and as highlighted by the Older People’s Housing Taskforce, as well as reports from Sir Michael Marmot, Lord Darzi, and more recently the Chief Medical Officer, there is increasing evidence that improving the quality of our homes and built environment has a direct link to our health and wellbeing in later life and saves the public purse.

From reducing health inequalities and tackling loneliness to addressing digital inclusion and overcoming social exclusion in our communities, we call on government in its housebuilding commitments, new towns and placemaking objectives to ensure that the new supply of homes and communities are age-inclusive and technology-enabled, support community connections and promote healthy ageing.
