Welsh Government reallocates £2.2 million for the Disabled Facilities Grant

The Welsh government has announced a reallocation of £2.2m to the Disabled Facilities Grant to support housing adaptations for older and disabled people, with the aim of enabling them to live more independently and safely in their own homes for longer.

An additional £5.5m in capital investment has also been agreed to support independent living programmes in the next financial year, bringing the capital budget for 2025-26 to £25m. Revenue funding has also been increased to more than £6m.
