Public health policy

Lead responsibility for public health is being taken on by local authorities so that services with a big impact on health such as housing, social care, education and environment can benefit from public health expertise in planning and delivering improvements. A national Public Health Outcomes Framework provides direction for local authorities and partner organisations.
