Adult safeguarding and housing

We are pleased to host materials for the Housing and Safeguarding Adults Alliance of which HLIN is a member. The updated terms of reference and membership of the group is included, along with: a useful briefing paper on the subject of Housing and Adult Safeguarding, which provides links to several of the author's other articles; good practice examples of safeguarding adults policies and procedures kindly provided by Together Housing Group.

We are pleased to include two updated documents which are intended to help providers address the safeguarding aspects of the Care Act 2014 and final statutory guidance - a self-assessment checklist (opens new window) and a presentation (opens new window). Opening the presentation in the notes format gives additional information.

We are also pleased to add a new paper 'Housing engagement with Safeguarding Adults Boards (opens new window)' which links to the SCIE Care Act implementation resource: Adult Safeguarding - Safeguarding Adults Boards - checklist and resources (due for publication February 2015).
