Advancing Technology Enabled Care - Who Cares and Who Pays?

This white paper from Tunstall Healthcare explores how technology can prevent and minimise unnecessary access to healthcare systems while enabling individuals to remain at home, thus reducing reliance on costly health and social care services.
Whilst strong research evidence demonstrates the impact of technology, and in particular telecare, to address these factors (the “what”), the paper draws on the research and further insight to illustrate the accessible benefits for Health and Care systems, but also considers further enabling factors of funding and eligibility. The paper draws on international insight to identify barriers to adoption, and as a result, policy and other approaches which can translate the potential into reality (the “how”).
The paper concludes with actionable recommendations on how technology can support and enhance the objectives of the NHS 10-Year Health Plan.
We were delighted to welcome Angus Honeysett from Tunstall Healthcare at the Housing LIN Conference 2025 in Leeds, where he discussed the integration of housing, health and social care through digital innovation.
