COVID-19: rapid care technology deployment tool

This guide, and accompanying executive summary, have been developed by the LGA in partnership with RETHINK Partners to support adult social care teams who are seeking to use care technology in response to COVID-19. The guide is divided in two parts:

• Part One is designed to help analyse local themes. Themes include: telecare continuity, hospital discharge, tackling digital exclusion and support for carers. While the focus is primarily on older people, it also applies to supporting people with long term conditions.
• Part Two is a mobilisation guide to deploying care technology in response to COVID-19 and make impactful decisions. It considers issues such as governance, identifying user needs, communications and information management, and techniques for mobilisation
