Designing Intergenerational Communities
This report by the Gensler Research Institute in America brings together a series of designs and tools around a concept of ‘Boom Town’ for changing the built environment to expand opportunities for existing community members and encourage intergenerational living and connections.
The intention to reimagine two sites in Los Angeles and Washington DC, including the reuse of urban space across generations, cultures, socioeconomic groups for residential, leisure and commerce.
